Metallurg Bekabad

Metallurg Bekobod (Russian Металлург Бекабад ) is a football club from the Uzbek city of Bekobod. The club currently plays in the top division of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek professional football league. Play their home games out of the club in the Metallurg Stadium. The club was founded in 1945. 's Biggest success in club history has been the two-time winning the Uzbek Cup in Soviet times in 1985 and 1990. Was not until 1997 promotion to the Uzbek football league. By 2007, the club fought mostly successfully, though mostly just to avoid relegation. 2007 was, however, the relegation unavoidable. Due to financial problems of other clubs but could remain in the league. The best ever placement at the end of a season succeeded in 2002 with a fifth place.
