Metals (album)

Metals is the fourth studio album by Canadian singer -songwriter Leslie Feist. The series production for the 2007 album The Reminder was released on 3 October 2011 by Polydor. Metals reached # 7 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts, which there is the highest up to that album placement of the artist. In the German album hit lists Metals peaked at # 6 in Canada succeeded with # 2 on the highest international ranking list.

Production

The title of the album were written by Leslie Feist. For the production drawing alongside Feist nor the musician Chilly Gonzales, Mocky, and Sigurðsson Valgeir responsible. The first two are also represented on some musical pieces.

After the previous album " The Reminder " Leslie Feist took a creative break and took Metals until four years later new studio material. Over the course of production compared to their previous experiences told Feist that they consciously during the recording of Metals more errors have admitted to encourage spontaneity.

The Rolling Stone magazine stated that the listening experience of Metals less catchy than usual Feist, but this would be their best album.

The criticism platform Metacritic reported a Metascore of 81 out of a possible 100 points for Metals. In the rating by user album reached there, 8.7 out of 10 possible points.
