Metrodorus of Lampsacus (the elder)
Metrodorus of Lampsacus (short Metrodorus ) was an ancient Greek philosopher who lived in the 5th century BC.
He was a pupil of Anaxagoras and wrote a rationalizing, allegorical treatise on the works of Homer. In this summed Metrodorus the Olympian deities and heroes of Homer as part of " organism " on, in the Achilles about the sun or Dionysus represented the spleen.
Metrodorus is mentioned in Plato's dialogue Ion.
