Metropolitan Seraphim of Glastonbury

Seraphim of Glastonbury, whose real name was William Henry Hugo Newman - Norton ( born February 27, 1948 in London), is Metropolitan and head of the British Orthodox Church and thus a member of the Coptic Church.

Life

After his ordination in 1969 deacon him the sacrament of priestly ordination on 27 February 1971 donated. In 1994, he became a monk of the monastery of Holy Virgin Mary ( El- Surian ) in Wadi El Natrun, Egypt, and was given the name Seraphim El- Suriani. On 19 June 1994 he became Metropolitan of the British Orthodox Church.
