Mette Melgaard

Mette Melgaard Blak ( born June 3, 1980 in Ebeltoft, Denmark ) is a former Danish handball player.

Melgaard started eleven years playing handball at Vrold Skanderborg. About the intermediate stations Aarhus KFUM and Brabrand IF the circle player came in 2001 Slagelse FH. With Slagelse Melgaard won in 2003, 2005 and 2007, the Championship and the 2002 Cup. 2004, 2005 and 2007, she triumphed with Slagelse in the EHF Champions League and EHF Cup in 2003. After seven seasons at Slagelse Melgaard signed a contract with league rivals FCK Håndbold, with whom she won the 2009 European Cup Winners' Cup and 2010 Danish Cup. In summer 2010, a change to Hypo Niederösterreich Austria was planned, but this did not materialize. Then Melgaard signed a contract with Randers HK. By Randers in 2012 she won the championship.

Melgaard has 82 caps for the Danish women's handball national contest in which they scored 81 hits. With Denmark she won at the 2009 world championships in China in fifth place. In summer 2012 she participated at the Olympic Games in London. After the Olympics, she ended her career.
