Mette Vestergaard

Mette Vestergaard Brandt ( born November 27, 1975 in Taastrup, born Mette Vestergaard Larsen ) is a former Danish handball player.

Career

Vestergaard initially played at Rødovre and later played with FIF in the highest Danish league. As of 2002, Vestergaard ran for FCK Håndbold, who took over the league license of FIF. 2006 ended the backcourt player their professional career and was subsequently active in amateur Lyngby HK. From the year 2009, the left-hander for the first women's team of Lyngby ran on that competed in the second highest Danish league. From 2011, she was also active as an assistant coach in Lyngby. After the 2012/13 season Vestergaard left the club and ended her career.

Vestergaard belonged from 1995 to the cadres of the Danish national team. With Denmark she won in 2000 and 2004, the gold medal at the Olympic Games and the European Championships in 1996 and 2002. According to the 2004 Olympic Games Vestergaard ended her international career, in which she played 158 internationals.
