Metzenhausen

Metzenhausen is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Kirchberg (Hunsrück ).

Geographical location

Metzenhausen is centrally located in the Hunsrück, east of the headwaters of the Kyrbachs.

History

The village got its name from a noble family. 1278 Conrad for the first time by Mentzenhusin ( Metzenhausen ) was mentioned.
