The Meurthe ( Murta celtic, old - German: Mörta, German Mörthe ) is a river in France, which runs in the Lorraine region. It is with a mean discharge of 40 m³ / s, the third largest tributary of the Moselle River.

Geography

The source of the Meurthe is located in the Vosges mountains in the north of the Hohneckmassivs close to the western saddle of the Col de la gorge and at the ( municipality of Le Valtin ). Cultural History
