MewithoutYou is a post-hardcore band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The band consists of vocalist Aaron Weiss, Michael Weiss, Christopher Kleinberg (both guitar), Greg Jehenian (bass) and Rickie Mazzotta (drums).

Although one can categorize the band's sound very difficult, but it can be said that Aaron's singing the music of mewithoutYou mainly impressed and characterized. The crucial factor is that he speaks rather drastic varied pitches, sometimes even whines when he actually sings. In addition, often comes a very salient and distorted bass, which has a rather experimental sounding sound result. In their album " Brother, Sister", the band also used a variety of percussion instruments, the accordion and harp.

The band name mewithoutYou is an adaptation of the parable of the vine from the Bible ( John 15:5 EU):

" I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me did, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: . For without me ye can do nothing"

"I am the vine, ye are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, bears much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing. "
