Mexican vihuela

The common in Mexico vihuela is a stringed instrument with 5 strings, which is mainly used by mariachi groups. In the form it resembles a scaled- Guitarron and has the same noticeable curvature to the back. The mood corresponds to that of the guitar; ADGHE, but the 4th and 5th string is tuned an octave higher.
