Mexx is an international fashion brand for women, men and children.
History
In 1980, Rattan Chadha 's clothes brands Moustache (for men) and Emanuelle ( for women). Mexx itself was created by a merger of Moustache (M) and Emanuelle (E ) with two kisses (XX ): M ( oustache ) E (manual ) XX = MEXX.
From 2001 to September 2011 was Mexx mostly marketed internationally for Liz Claiborne Inc., a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange company that fashion, accessories, design and perfume. Mexx is now an internationally known fashion brand that operates in more than 65 countries on four continents and employs over 3,000 employees.
On September 2, 2011 Liz Claiborne Inc. announced that it has sold a majority stake in the US-based private equity firm The Gores Group. It was established a new holding company Mexx Amsterdam BV, at the Liz Claiborne a minority stake of 18.75 % stake, while the share of The Gores Group is 81.25 %.
Product spectrum
Mexx offers not only fashion, but also a wide variety of lifestyle products. The products range of perfumes, to shoes, accessories such as glasses or bags, carpets and bedding.

The collections and accessories are sold in over 100 of its own retail stores (mono- label stores ), in renowned department stores, chain stores, specialty stores and nearly 300 franchise stores.

In the summer of 2010, the first Mexx store opened in the new store design that is inspired by the style of a typical New York loft.
