MGM Networks

The MGM Channel is a German pay- TV broadcaster, which is operated by MGM Networks GmbH, based in Munich. It broadcasts a 24 hour running program exclusively on Sky Germany and Switzerland at Tele Club.

History and Program

MGM launched on 1 April 2003 at the premiere platform in the premiere issue package. With the conversion to the Sky channel switched to Sky movie package. Shown feature films and film series from the archive of the parent company Metro -Goldwyn -Mayer as Some Like it Hot, A Fish Called Wanda, Robocop, James Bond 007 - Never Say Never Again, Pink Panther and Rocky.

MGM offers its full range of bilingual and lets the viewer by the choice between the German version and the original version. Once a week, several Western classics are shown one after the other.

Reception

The channel is broadcast on the Sky platform of Germany both nationwide via satellite or via cable. To receive a subscription to the film packet is required.

MGM Channel HD

In the TV Digital XXL edition No. 13/ 2013 Sweepstakes to launch MGM HD has been presented. On inquiring about the Facebook platform, the magazine was announced that on June 7, 2013, a branch of HD will launch on the Sky Platform. On 28 May 2013, the station identification of Sky was launched and officially announced the first broadcast via PM.
