Mıgırdiç Margosyan

Mıgırdiç Margosyan ( born December 23, 1938 in Diyarbakır ) is a Turkish writer and philosopher of Armenian descent.

Background

Mıgırdiç Margosyan was on 23 December 1938 at Hançepek district (also Gavur Mah - Ungläubigenviertel ) of Diyarbakir born. He received his education at the Süleyman Nazif Primary School and at the Ziya - Gökalp Middle School in Diyarbakır and continued his education at Armenian schools named Bezciyan Middle School and High School in Istanbul Getronagan continued. Margosyan studied at the philosophy department of the Faculty of Letters of Istanbul University.

Between 1966 and 1972 Mıgırdiç Margosyan worked as headmaster of the Armenian Surp Hac Tıbrevank College and taught philosophy, psychology, Armenian language and literature. Next, he started commercial activities.

Writing career

Margosyan published a number of short stories in Armenian in the newspaper Marmara, some of them were collected and the name Ayt Goğmeri Mer ( Turkish Bizim O Yöreler ) published in 1984. 1988 received Margosyan in the French capital Paris, the Eliz - Kavukçuyan literature award, which is awarded to Armenian authors writing. Margosyan published in 1992 Gavur Mah, 1995 Söyle Margo Nerelisen? and 1998 Biletimiz İstanbul'a Kesildi (1998) in Turkish and in 1999 published his second book Dikrisi Aperen (Turkish Dicle Kıyılarından ) in Armenian. His book was translated into Kurdish Gavur Mah and published under the title Li ba me, Li wan Deran Avesta Publishing in Istanbul in 1999.

Margosyans article for the newspaper Evrensel were published under the name Çengelliiğne 1999. He now writes for the Evrensel the column Kirveme Mektuplar, which was published in a 2006 book of the same name, and for the Agos.

Mıgırdiç Margosyans last book, the autobiographical novel tespih Taneleri, was published in 2006. In 2012, he joined the Halkların Demokratik Partisi.
