Mhire track is an extension of the Mount Sporli associated elevations in the West Antarctic Heritage Range. Mhire track located east of Mount Sporli and forms the south wall of the Larson Valley.

Mhire track was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the compilation of Ellsworthgebirges in the years 1961-66 by site surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy. Was named the foothills of the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names by Clifford J. Mhire, in 1966 was responsible for the transport of jet fuel from McMurdo Station to the nearby airfield Williams Field as a senior operator during Operation Deep Freeze.
