Miami Township is one of 14 townships of Clermont County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in the year 2000 36.632 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Miami Township is located in the extreme north-west of Clermont County in southwest Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Hamilton Township in Warren County, Goshen Township, Stonelick Township, Union Township, Anderson Township, Hamilton County, Columbia Township (Hamilton County) and Symmes Township (Hamilton County).

A number of towns are located in Miami Township:

  • A part of the city to the north Loveland
  • A part of the city Milford in southwest
  • The Census -designated place, Day Heights in the center
  • The Census -designated place, Mount Repose also in the center
  • The census-designated place in the West Mulberry
  • The unincorporated community Miami Ville also in western

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
