Michael B. Tretow

Michael B. Tretow ( born August 20, 1944 in Östra Eneby in Norrköping) is a Swedish music producer, engineer and musician.

Tretow been since the late 1960s, an employee of the Swedish record and music publishing company Polar Music. Well-known and successful he was in particular as the main responsible and executive studio sound engineer and Sound Developer for all titles and music productions of the Swedish pop group ABBA. At first he accompanied ABBA as a sound engineer and in their performances and live concerts. He is regarded as a musical " fifth member " of the band and has been involved since 1980 in gratitude and appreciation for his many years of creative work for the band as a percentage of the royalties on the last ABBA albums and singles. After the end of ABBA he still worked on various solo projects of the former ABBA members. Later he then worked among others as a music producer for several other Swedish and international artists.
