Michael Baigent

Michael Feran Meritxell Baigent (* March 1948 in Nelson, New Zealand, † June 19 2013 in Brighton, England ) was a British- New Zealand author. Most of his works were historical nonfiction. His most famous song was The Holy Grail and his heirs, the conditioned, the modern legend of Rennes- le -Château for a mass audience and its theses are rejected by much of the history of science. As coauthors Baigents acted partly Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln.

Life

Baigent studied psychology at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch ( BA degree ). Since 1976 he lived with his family in England. There he acquired in 1999 from the University of Kent with a MA specialist mysticism and religious experience; the title of his thesis was A Renaissance symbol: the meaning of the triangle Containing the Hebrew name of God.

In his books and documentaries to Baigent employed, among others, with the history of the Knights Templar, Freemasonry and the early history of Christianity.

In 1983 he married his wife, Jane, with whom he had two daughters. From a previous marriage his wife came a stepson and a stepdaughter.

Baigent died in June 2013 at the age of 65 of a cerebral hemorrhage.
