Michael Chaplin (actor)

Michael Chaplin ( born March 7, 1946 in Santa Monica, California ) is an American actor.

Life

Michael Chaplin was born in 1946 as the second child and eldest son of the fourth marriage of the actor Charles Chaplin Oona O'Neill. Michael Chaplin has seven other siblings; Geraldine, Josephine, Victoria, Eugene, Jane, Annette and Christopher. From his father's previous marriages, the half-siblings, Norman, Charles Jr. and Sydney come.

At the age of six years, Michael Chaplin was to see the spotlight, directed by his father in the film. 1957 brought him again before the camera Charles Chaplin for his film, A King in New York. At the age of 19 he published the book I Could not Smoke the Grass on my Father's Lawn, in which he describes his life in the shadow of famous father. Later he appeared in several autobiographical films and documentaries about Charles Chaplin.

Michael Chaplin is the president of the Fondation du Musee Charlie Chaplin. With the organization he is planning a museum in the former Swiss residence of his father.

Michael Chaplin is married to the writer Patrice Chaplin. The couple has two daughters, Carmen Chaplin and Dolores Chaplin.
