Michael De Luca

Michael De Luca (born 1965 in New York City ) is an American film producer and screenwriter.

Career

De Luca studied film at New York University. In 1987, he began his career as a screenwriter for The Lawnmower Man. As a screenwriter, he continued to be involved in the years 1988/89 to the TV series Freddy 's Nightmares.

1994 De Luca wrote the screenplay for the horror film The Mouth of Madness, 1995 was on the development of the story to Judge Dredd involved. His last work so far as the author was a script for an episode of the television series Star Trek: Voyager from 1996.

1991 produced De Luca for the first time with Freddy's Finale - Nightmare on Elm Street 6 a feature film for New Line Cinema. He later took over the post of President of Production. In 2003, De Luca in the same position with Dreamworks Pictures.

For his involvement in the production of The Social Network De Luca was nominated for the 2011 Oscar. He also won an award in 2010 for the film of the American Film Institute. For Universal Pictures De Luca produced under the banner of his production company Michael De Luca Prods. the horror movie Dracula Untold, which should come the end of 2014 in the cinemas.
