Michael Dusek

Michael Dusek ( born November 10, 1958 in Niederwörresbach ) is a former German football player and current football coach. In total he played from 1979 to 1988 nine seasons in the Bundesliga as a defender for the 1st FC Kaiserslautern. Dusek played 210 matches and scored ten goals.

Among his greatest successes reaching the DFB Cup 1981 1-3 against Eintracht Frankfurt, a third place in the Bundesliga 1979/1980 and two fourth places on the conclusion of the Bundesliga season in 1981 and 1982. However, a title he was denied in his career.

His first coaching position was at SV Niederwörresbach. He coached the team 1988 until 1991. Afterwards he moved to 1994 for TuS Tiefenstein. On 1 July 1994 he took over the team of SV Wittlich.

From 1 July 1996 to 30 June 1999, he coached the team from SC 07 Idar -Oberstein. His greatest successes were the runners-up of the league in 1997, the SWFV Cup victory in 1998 and the entry into the first DFB Cup main round ( against Arminia Bielefeld in front of 5,000 spectators at the stadium in the Hague) and the rise in the Regionalliga West / Southwest 1999.

From 1 July 1999 to 3 September 2001 he coached the amateur team of the 1st FC Kaiserslautern and then took over the U19 junior team. At the beginning of the 2006/07 season ended Dusek due to health problems his commitment to the " Red Devils".

In the 2007 /08 season, he supervised the first A-Juniors Association league team of TuS Mörschied. After a failed season start of his ex- clubs, SC 07 Idar -Oberstein, and the dismissal of Patric Mudersbach, Dusek took over the Southwest Oberliga as coach and led him into the 2010/11 season for league championship and the associated rise in the Regionalliga. In the summer of 2011, he took over as coach at FK Pirmasens. He was released in June 2012 after one season. The reason missed athletic goals and differing views on the future direction of the association were given.
