Michael E. Dreher

Michael Ernst Dreher ( born January 8, 1944 in Schaffhausen, home entitled ibid. ) is a Swiss politician ( FPS).

Dreher is a Doctor of Law and holds an MBA from the University of St. Gallen.

Dreher founded in 1985 with like-minded people, the right-wing car 's Party ( 1994-2009 Freedom Party ) as a counterpoint to the Green Party and was until 1990 the party president. The car party knocked against lower speed limits and against what she called " Ökoterror ". They also demanded the abolition of the direct federal tax, a more restrictive asylum policies and a sharper punishment of criminals of all kinds, especially by drug dealers. From 1987 to 1999 he sat for the Liberty party in the National Council. He left the end of 2000 FPS, because those fighting the bilateral contracts. Dreher rejects Switzerland's membership in the EU and the UN, but advocates a participation with EFTA and NAFTA to promote free trade. In 2001, he joined the Swiss People's Party (SVP ). Dreher is married and has a son. In the military, he held the rank of captain.
