Michael East (composer)

Michael East (* 1580 in London, † 1648 in Lichfield ) was an English organist and composer.

East of the nephew of the London music publisher Thomas East was (around 1540-1608 ). It was in 1606 in Cambridge Bachelor of Music and worked from 1618 for the rest of his life in the Lichfield Cathedral Choir and organist.

A madrigal by Thomas Morley in 1603 he published in his collection The Triumphs of Orania.
