Michael Gerard Bauer

Michael Gerard Bauer ( born August 10, 1955 in Brisbane ) is an Australian writer.

Life

Bauer studied at the University of Queensland Humanities and Education. After fruitless attempts to work as a song - writer and sketch, he discovered during his work as an English teacher his love for story writing. As during his time as an English teacher barely had time it took 3 years to complete the novel The Running Man. This has been awarded numerous prizes, including the "Book of the Year" by the Children 's Book Council of Australia. His next book will not call me Ishmael! was also an international bestseller, so he wrote a sequel in 2007 under the title of Ishmael and the presence of manatees and his Ishmael series 2011 finally be with Ismael providing everything completed. Michael Gerard Bauer is married and has two children. He lives and works as an English teacher and writer on the outskirts of Brisbane.
