Michael Gothard

Michael Alan Gothard (* June 24, 1939 in London, England; † December 2, 1992 in Hampstead ) was an English actor, known for his role in the television series Arthur of the Britons.


Gothard played in the movies Herostratus (1967 ), Up the Junction (1968) and The Three Musketeers (1973 ) with. Furthermore, Gothard was in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only (1981 ) as a villain Emile Leopold Locque with glasses to see. Here he had to speak a single sentence.

He thought it macabre to play a murderer who wore the glasses of an actual child murderer. Gothard committed suicide in 1992, by hanging himself.
