Michael Hepburn (* September 17, 1991 in Brisbane ) is an Australian track and road racing cyclist.

Sports career

Michael Hepburn won at the 2009 Australian Track Cycling Championships in Adelaide the junior competitions in the individual pursuit, team pursuit and in the Omnium. In the individual pursuit he put it on a new junior world record. At the Junior World Championships in Moscow, he was world champion in the individual pursuit and second in the team pursuit. In the elite class Hepburn was at the Track Cycling World Cup 2009/2010 successfully in the team pursuit in Melbourne and Beijing. In 2010 he was Australian champion in the Omnium. In the UCI Track Cycling World Championships 2010 in Ballerup Hepburn was World Champion in the Team Pursuit.

On the road, Michael Hepburn won a stage of the 2008 Tour of Tasmania and in 2009 he was successful in two sections of the Tour of the Murray River. Since 2010, he runs for the Australian Team Jayco Skins. In his first year there, he was national champion in the road race in the U23 class.

2013 Hepburn was in Minsk World Champion in the Team Pursuit, together with Glenn O'Shea, Alexander Morgan and Alexander Edmondson and in the individual pursuit.
