Michael J. Horton

Michael J. Horton (* in Lower Hutt ) is a New Zealand -headquartered in New Zealand Cutter. He was for the film The Lord of the Rings 2002: The Two Towers for the Academy Award nominated.

Horton was born in New Zealand, Lower Hutt. He attended Saint Patrick's College in Wellington. Mid-1960s, he began working as a film cutter at the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation. He began in the 1970s with Geoff Murphy TO work. In 1981, he was the film Goodbye Pork Pie cut, which was very successful commercially in New Zealand and a major impetus for the development of the New Zealand cinema was. Horton worked with Murphy on two other successful film projects of the 1980s, before Murphy went to the USA. After Murphy's return to New Zealand worked the two together to Spooked ( 2004).
