Michael J. Noonan (Fianna Fáil)
Michael J. Noonan (Irish Micheál Ó Nuanáin, August 4, 1935 *, † September 17, 2013 in Milford ) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician and from 1987 to 1989 Irish Defence.
Biography
Noonan, who was originally farmers, began his political career in 1969 as the candidate of Fianna Fáil with the first election for deputies ( Teachta Dala ) in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament. There he represented the constituency until 1997 Limerick West.
From 10 March 1987 to 12 July 1989 he was defense minister in the cabinet of Charles J. Haughey Taoiseach.
