Michael J. Williams (politician)

Michael Jay Williams ( born October 16, 1929) is a politician from Trinidad and Tobago and in 1987 was briefly Interim President of Trinidad and Tobago.

Williams was on 12 January 1987 to 12 March 1990 Chairman of the second chamber of Parliament, the Senate.

On March 13, 1987, Williams was after the end of the term of President Ellis Clarke for six days acting President of Trinidad and Tobago. On March 19, 1987 Noor Hassanali was elected to succeed Clarke as the new President.
