Michael Jurack

Michael Jurack (born 14 February 1979 in Straubing ) is a German judoka.

Jurack began at the age of nine years at the KSG Straubing- Aiterhofen judo. He celebrated his first international success in 1998 by winning the bronze medal at the Junior European Championships. However, due to a shoulder injury he had to pause for half a year in 1999.

At the World Masters in July 2001 in Munich, Jurack prevailed against the international elite Judo and won the tournament in his weight class.

In 2003 he reached at the World Judo Championships in Osaka Rank 7 The Judo 2004 European Championships in Bucharest, he finished fifth and qualified for the Olympic Summer Games in Athens, where she won a surprise bronze medal.

Jurack, First Sergeant of the Bundeswehr and is funded by it. In the Bundesliga Jurack starts for the multiple German team champion TSV Abensberg.
