Michael Karst

Michael Karst ( born January 28, 1952 in Mannheim ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympian, who in the 1970s - was successful in the 3000 -meter steeplechase - starting for the Federal Republic. The European Athletics Championships 1974, he won the bronze medal ( 8:18,0 min; German record ).

At the Olympics 1976 he was fifth ( 8:20,14 min), at the European Athletics Championships in 1978, he was fourth ( 8:19,0 min).
