Michael Keiner

Michael "The Doc" None ( born February 8, 1959 in Wetzlar ) is a German poker player.

He trained as an officer in the German army in Kempten ( Allgäu) and studied from 1979 to 1985 in Giessen medicine, after he graduated from the surgical residency training and opened a clinic for cosmetic surgery in 1994 in Wetzlar. No one was from 1979 to 1995, an active motorcycle racer who has participated in the World Endurance Championship. Since 2001, he is only part-time working as a cosmetic surgeon, and has made playing poker hobby into a profession.

Poker

For the first time came in 1993 with No Limit Texas Hold'em in touch when he was on a surgical training stay.

In 1995 he took part in German casinos repeatedly Seven Card Stud games. In this discipline, he won the European Championship in 1997 immediately Pot Limit Seven Card Stud in London. In 1998 he took part in most of Pot Limit Omaha cash games. In 2002 he took a complete break from international poker tournaments in order to focus on German Omaha cash game games.

In the World Series of Poker 2007, he sat down opposite Nesbitt Coburn in heads up in the $ 1,500 Seven Card Stud tournament by. He won $ 146,987 and his first WSOP bracelet. He made the final table, among others, Greg Raymer and Barry Greenstein behind.

In November 2008, Michael Keiner won the UK Open, which were endowed with prize money of $ 250,000.
