Michael Kostner
Michael Kostner ( born February 7, 1969) is a former German football player.
Player
The career of Michael Kostner was a constant up and down of the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, it went to the then third-rate Kickers Offenbach. With the 1 FC Saarbrücken, he made the jump back to the Bundesliga. There he impressed with sovereign services, has been invited by national coach Berti Vogts to a scholarship course the national team in the sport Wedau in September 1992 and also drew Hamburger SV attention to itself. There, however, he could not assert himself and changed in 1995 to FC 08 Homburg in the third league. Many understood not then why the coach Peter Neururer brought him in 1996 to 1 FC Köln. Under Neurer still regular players, found Bernd Schuster, who after relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga as coach in Cologne took over in 1998, no use for Kostner and let him go. The defender ended his active career in 2000 at Wacker Burghausen. However, he came even later at his coach stations in Freilassing and Ampfing to some missions. His last game played so far Kostner on August 14, 2011 for the TSV Ampfing the guest performance at VfR Garching.
Coach
Kostner stayed in port at Wacker Burghausen, he coached the second team until the summer of 2006. During the season 2006/2007 Kostner led the ESV Freilassing as player-coach and led the team to champion t Eitel the district league Oberbayern East and the associated rise in the Bezirksoberliga Upper Bavaria. Since the 2007/2008 season, Kostner coach at the district division club TSV Ampfing, which he led in the 2008 /09 as to the county league championship and promotion. Once the targeted promotion to the national league was not possible in the following two seasons, the club wanted to bring about the rise in the 2012/12 season in which there was a significantly higher number of promotion places due to the league reform. But after the team remained in the course of the season in the bottom of the table, Kostner resigned as manager on 26 March 2012.
Accusations of undeclared work
Under the suspicion of undeclared work, the main customs office in Rosenheim searched on 24 June 2008 Kostner's apartment as well as premises of the ESV Freilassing and its employees. Kostner should have received salary from the club during his time in Freilassing, although he simultaneously got unemployment benefits.
