Michael L. Strang

Michael Lathrop "Mike" strand ( born June 17, 1929 at Bucks County, Pennsylvania, † January 12, 2014 in Carbondale, Colorado ) was an American politician. Between 1985 and 1987 he represented the third electoral district of the state of Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Michael strand visited until 1956, the Princeton University and studied 1956-1957 at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Between 1950 and 1953, in the time of the Korean War, he was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Between 1957 and 1985 strand worked in banking and as a rancher.

Strand joined the Republican Party and was elected in the midterm elections of 1984 as their candidate in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington. There he broke on January 3, 1985 from the Democrats Raymond P. Kogovsek. Since he lost to Ben Nighthorse Campbell in the elections of 1986, Strang was able to complete only one term in Congress until January 3, 1987. After his time in Congress was dedicated to Michael strand of horses and livestock. He was also a consultant on tax matters as well as for dealing with natural resources. He last lived in Carbondale.
