Michael Laverty
Michael Laverty ( born June 7, 1981 in Toomebridge ) is a British motorcycle racer.
His younger brother Eugene is also motorcycle racer.
Career
Laverty drove from 2001 to 2004, first in the British Supersport Championship. In the years 2005 and 2006 he started for the team Stobart Motorsport in the British Superbike Championship. In 2007 he went with the team Relentless Racing again in the British Supersport Championship at the start and won the title. With the same team he drove in 2008 in the British Superbike Championship. 2009 started Laverty in the U.S. AMA Superbike Championship and in some races in the Supersport World Championship. From 2010 to 2012, he ran again in the British Supersport Championship
2013 occurs Laverty with Paul Bird Motorsport and their self-produced chassis in MotoGP. His team-mate is the Colombian Yonny Hernández.
