Michael Lee (musician)

Michael Lee ( born November 19, 1969 in Darlington, United Kingdom, † November 24, 2008 ibid; bourgeois Michael Gary Pearson ) was a British drummer, drumming, among other things, The Cult, Thin Lizzy and Page & Plant.

Biography

After his graduation he worked for a time as a seller. At 17, he played for the NWOBHM band Holosade people to complete a record deal with an independent label and released an album called Hell House. Shortly after the band broke up.

In 1989, Michael Lee joined the Little Angels and there replaced founding member Dave Hopper. He has published with them, the EP Too Posh to Mosh (1988 ), the debut album Do not Prey for Me ( 1989) and the successor Young Gods (1991 ) a. He had to leave the band after 1991's tour when it was revealed that he had played secretly at The Cult. In The Cult he only stayed for one single ( The Witch, 1992) and a soundtrack contribution for Buffy - The Vampire Killer. After he was fired along with the rest of the backing band of Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy. He then participated at both Page & Plant albums and as a session drummer.

Michael Lee had several engagements with Echo & The Bunnymen, Jeff Martin (ex - The Tea Party ), Ian Gillan and Thin Lizzy. He died on 24 November 2008 to an epileptic seizure.
