Michael LeMoyne Kennedy

Michael LeMoyne Kennedy ( born February 27, 1958 in Washington, DC, † December 31 1997 in Aspen ) was the sixth of eleven children of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Skakel Kennedy.

Life

Michael Kennedy was managing director of the nonprofit organization " Citizens Energy Corporation ", which founded his brother Joseph. He also helped to organize Edward M. Kennedy's re-election campaign in 1994.

Despite a political career, Michael Kennedy, has become known primarily for having an affair with the underage babysitter of his children, which was a public scandal in 1996. Allegedly, the affair had begun three years earlier, when the babysitter was only 14 years old. Then Michael Kennedy was accused of minors for seduction. However, they refunded no display, and he was acquitted. Then Kennedy made ​​voluntarily therapy in a rehabilitation clinic for alcoholics.

Kennedy was married to the daughter of football star Frank Gifford, Victoria Gifford. Shortly after the babysitter affair became known, Michael and his wife Victoria parted. They had three children.

Michael Kennedy died in December of 1997 in a skiing accident in Aspen. He drove with several other members of the Kennedy family skiing, as it bounced unrestrained against a tree.
