Michael Luciano

Michael " Mike " B. Luciano ( born March 27, 1917) is a former American professional editor who was nominated not only four times for an Academy Award for Best Editing, but also twice the Eddie won the Film Award of the American Cinema Editor (ACE).

Biography

Luciano began in 1938 as an editor in the film Man 's Country and worked throughout his career in the production of over 50 films and television series with.

In 1965, he was first nominated for the Eddie and indeed for the episode "I, Darrin, Take This Witch Samantha " (1964) from the television series Bewitched. Also In 1965 his first Oscar nomination for Best Editing in the film Lullaby for a dead body (1964).

For The Flight of the Phoenix (1965 ) he was nominated for an Oscar in 1966 for both as well as 1966 for the Eddie for the best film editing. The Eddie for best film section, he finally won in 1968 for The Dirty Dozen (1967) and was again nominated for an Oscar for this film at the Oscar ceremony in 1968.

Another Eddie for the best film editing was Luciano 1975 The Longest Yard ( The Longest Yard, 1974). Also for the cut in this film, he was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1975 for an Oscar for Best Editing.
