Michael McCusker

Michael Allen McCusker ( born June 23, 1966) is an American editor.

Life

During his time at the New Canaan High School wrote and produced Michael McCusker movies, so he finished his studies at Emerson College in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in film theory and production. He then moved to Hollywood, where he initially worked as a production assistant, among other things, in the animated series The Simpsons. He began to be interested in film editing and assisted for the first time in the television series Planet Rules as an assistant before joining the Motion Picture Editors Guild and entered into a long-standing collaboration with David Brenner. He assisted burner among others, Independence Day, Identity and The Day After Tomorrow.

When the director James Mangold Brenner asked if he could also cut his latest film, this was not available, so McCusker the opportunity to lead his first film editing. With Walk the Line, he was also honored with an Oscar nomination for Best Editing.
