Michael Melka

Michael Melka ( born July 9, 1978 in Castrop -Rauxel ) is a German football goalkeeper.

Career

Milking began his career with the youth of Borussia Dortmund, then went to Hasper SV and came across the hammer SpVg to FC Remscheid, where he played in the 1998/99 season. He then played two years at Preußen Münster, before he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach.

In many cases, milking was only third-choice goalkeeper in Moenchengladbach, so he came to a total of only eight Bundesliga games. For the season 2007/ 08 he moved to the then third division side Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Gameday On the 8th of the season 2007/ 08 milking cracked the record of Düsseldorf's former goalkeeper Jörg Schmadtke from the season 1992/93, as this could set a record for the Düsseldorf with 708 gegentorlosen minutes. Milking was 802 minutes without conceding a goal.

Michael Melka played after the Regionalliga Nord in the 3rd League for the Fortuna. He played in all 38 games and was able after a 1-0 victory against the second team of Werder Bremen on the final day ascend to the 2nd Bundesliga. There he had to be replaced on Matchday 1 injured. He fell several months and lost his place. It was not until the following season, he became the number one jersey in the Fortuna again. After another injury in February 2011, it remained for the rest of the season again only the space on the bench.

For the 2011/12 season moved to the milking second division Rot-Weiß Oberhausen relegated, with whom he descended from the third division to the Regionalliga. In May 2012, he moved to the third division Alemannia Aachen newbie. There he released his contract on 24 January 2013. Since then, he is without a club.
