Michael Nell

Michael " Mike" Nell (born 5 February 1984 in Calgary ) is a former Canadian ski jumpers and Nordic combined.

Before Nell, who started for the Altius Nordic Ski Club, was active as a ski jumper, he took in 2002 to three races in B- World Cup Nordic Combined in part. However, it did not achieve success. Then he started only in its greater discipline, the ski jumping. At the Junior World Cup 2002 in Schonach he reached on the normal hill to 45th place. After the Junior World Championships, he started in the ski jumping Continental Cup. He reached on 22 September 2002 at his home hill in Calgary with the 6th place his best individual result. In the following three years, he did not reach top places more. His career ended with the start at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. He dropped out already in the qualification in jumping on the normal hill as the 50th and on the large hill in 49th. In the team competition, he reached the 15th and penultimate place in front of the team from China together with Gregory Baxter, Stefan Read and Graeme Gorham.
