Michael Patrick Thornton

Michael Patrick Thornton (* in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American actor and theater director.

Life and career

Born in Chicago's Jefferson Park Michael Patrick Thornton attended the The School of Steppenwolf. In 2001, Thornton founded with Will Nedved the The Gift Theatre Company. From this stage, he is the director in the arts. He is also a teacher in schools.

On television, Thornton was known by the role of Dr. Gabriel Fife on the television series Private Practice. There he played 14 episodes long a physician with the serial character of Audra McDonald enters into a relationship at the end. He has also been seen in The Dilemma and The Chicago Code.
