Michael Paul (handballer)

Michael Paul ( born April 15, 1961 in Hanau ) is a former German handball player. He played left back.

Was discovered in Michael Paul from his father Joachim Paul.

For the German national Paul played 32 matches in which he (three seven-meter ) scored 72 goals. At the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, he won the silver medal with the national team. In the tournament, he completed five games in which he threw 17 goals. In his career, Paul was often injured. So he could not participate in the World Championships in 1982 and 1986 due to a finger injury or a serious shoulder injury.

With the TV Großwallstadt he was three times German champion.
