Michael Peskin
Michael Edward Peskin ( born October 27, 1951 in Philadelphia ) is an American theoretical physicist.
He studied from 1969 to 1973 at Harvard University, where he in 1973 received a Bachelor in Physics and Chemistry. Subsequently, he studied at Cornell University and received his doctorate there in 1978. After postdoctoral studies at Harvard University, at the Centre d' Etudes de Saclay nucléaires and Cornell University, he has worked since 1982 at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center - first as an associate professor and since 1986 as a professor.
He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
He is co- author of a famous textbook on quantum field theory. In addition, he wrote many review articles for physics.
