Michael Pfleghar

Michael Pfleghar ( born March 20, 1933, Stuttgart, † June 23, 1991 in Dusseldorf ) was a German film director and television producer.

Life

The son of a factory trained as a cutter and in 1954 was assistant director for SDR in Stuttgart. He later worked as a television director and already followed at the end of the 1950s Helmut Jedele in the Bavaria Film in Munich. From 1959 to 1963 he was here, senior director, after which he worked as a freelancer. With its innovative shows he soon became Germany's best known television director. In 1967, he led in the United States directed the award- winning music TV special A Man and His Music Ella plus plus for Jobim Frank Sinatra with Ella Fitzgerald and Antonio Carlos Jobim. With Sinatra's daughter Tina Sinatra, he lived in the late 1960s temporarily together in Munich. He directed, inter alia, the ZDF show series a wish and in the years 1973 to 1979, the comedy television series odds and ends. With Ingrid Steeger, Actress in odds and ends, he spent five years dating since 1974. Under a pretext he lured his friend Günter Netzer in the show odds and ends, where Netzer had to sing as Heino impersonator.

Pfleghar founded in 1990 together with Ursula Pfeiffer in Nuremberg the Association lobby for children. The association helps children in emergencies.

Michael Pfleghar was married to the pop singers Inge Brück and Bibi Johns. From 1981 to 1990 he was the second husband of Wenche Myhre and father of their son Michael (* 1982). Even comes from a liaison with Corinne powder a daughter.

He shot himself in 1991 in the Düsseldorf apartment of his friend, journalist Hubert Maessen. This had given him the apartment for the duration of a TV project. Pfleghar was buried in the family grave in the forest cemetery in Stuttgart- Degerloch.
