Michael Pinske

Michael Pinske ( born August 22, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German judoka (1st Dan ).

Michael Pinske is a student of Geoinformatics at the Technische Fachhochschule Berlin. His mother is the three- time Olympic gold medalist Andrea Pollack. Pinske operates since 1994, Judo and is a member of the SC Berlin. He was initially trained by Heike Möller, followed by Jochen Bech and Detlef Ultsch.

In 2001, he won the title at the German and the international German Under-17 championships. He became German Vice Champion in the age group under 20 in 2002 and took in this age group also at the world championships. In 2003 and 2004 he won the title in the class, 2004, as the title of the German U20 international master. In 2005 he occupied at the European Championships in Rotterdam fifth and was U23 European Vice-Champion. Two years later he was in Belgrade again in fifth at the European Championships and participated in the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro. Pinske has been nominated by the German Olympic Sports Confederation in the class up to 90 kg for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, but lost his first fight and retired. At the European Championships in 2009, he finished fifth.
