Michael R. Krätke

Michael R. Krätke (* 1950) is Professor of Political Economy at the University of Lancaster, co-editor of spw - Journal of Socialist politics and business and the scientific advisory board of the contributions to the Marx-Engels research. New Series.

Krätke sat down mid-1990s with the history of Marxism apart. He distinguished four phases: (1) the phase from 1842 to Marx's death in 1883, (2) the phase of the " classical Marxism " from 1883 until the First World War, (3) the phase of the October Revolution to the end of the 1960s, (4) the contemporary phase of a social scientific Marxism after Marx Renaissance of the 1960s.
