Michael Ratzon

Michael Ratzon (Hebrew מיכאל רצון, born September 21, 1952 in Petah Tikva, Israel) is an Israeli politician.

Biography

Ratzon earned a Bachelor of Laws degree and then a Masters in Law at Bar-Ilan University and worked after his studies as a lawyer. He married Dr. Navah Ratzon, with whom he had five children: Eshbal, Re'em, Oded, and Anva Ofri.

He was from the Likud in 1992 set up as a contestant on the 35th place for the Knesset, but since it got only 32 seats, he missed a place in parliament. But in 1996 he was declared the succession to the late Ariel Weinstein in the Knesset. Three months later lost Ratzon in the 1996 elections his seat. In the elections in 2003 the party won 38 seats. Since Ratzon was number 20 of the Likud list, Ratzon also received a seat in the Knesset. Ratzon was in the 16th Parliament or Government of 30 March 5, 2003 until October 28, 2004 Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade.
