Michael Schenker

Michael Schenker ( born January 10, 1955 in Sarstedt ) is a German rock guitarist and brother of Rudolf Schenker.

Bands

Michael Schenker started early to play the guitar. At the age of 11 he formed his first band. In his second volume, Copernicus, Klaus was my singer. Together they later switched to the Scorpions, the most successful German rock band, in which his brother Rudolf Schenker. He played from 1969 to 1973 and then again in 1979 with the Scorpions.

1973 on the promotion tour for the first album Lonesome Crow asked the British band UFO, if he whose guitarist Bernie Marsden would represent a few concerts because he was not allowed to pass the border without a permit. From 1973, he was officially a member of the British band UFO, in which he was responsible for hard rock classics like Doctor, Doctor or Rock Bottom. The Scorpions he was replaced by Uli Jon Roth. In 1993 Michael Schenker back to UFO and played with the group, the disk Walk on Water a. After touring in 1995, 1997 and 1998 and the release of the albums Covenant (2000) and Sharks in 2002 he separated again from UFO.
