Michael Scott (basketball)

Michael Anthony Scott ( born March 13, 1986 in Indianapolis, Indiana), known as Mike Scott, is an American professional basketball player. After finishing his studies in his native Scott plays professionally in Europe, including one season in the National Basketball League 2010/11 at the BG 74 Göttingen. Then Scott played two years in the league Košarkaška Srbije, interrupted only by a brief exposure to Spirou Charleroi in Wallonia BC. For the 2013/14 season, Scott went back into the French-speaking world and signed a contract with the Premiership returnees EB Pau - Lacq - Orthez in southwestern France.

Career

Scott joined the study from his birthplace at Kent State University in Kent (Ohio ), where he played for the high school team Golden Flashes in the Mid- American Conference NCAA Division I. The Golden Flashes won the championship in 2006 and 2008 this Conference, but lost her first round match in each of the national finals of the NCAA.

2008 Scott began his professional career in the Turkish second division of Trabzon, which, however, in the promotion round failed to make it into the top flight after a first place in the main round. In the season 2009/10, Scott was active for the Hungarian first division of Körmend, who finished third place at the end of the season. Scott himself was nominated for the All-Star Game of the Hungarian league this season. To Basketball League 2010/11 Scott got a contract with the German Euro Challenge winner BG 74 Göttingen. In Eurocup 2010/11 Scott reached the Göttingen team into the knockout games in the quarter finals, where they eliminated against Benetton Treviso. In the second round of the 16 best teams in this European club competition, Scott was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the first match day. However, before the start of the play-offs for the German championship, the club broke the contract with Scott.

For the season 2011/12 Scott moved to Serbia, where he played for KK Radnički Kragujevac in the highest Serbian league liga Srbije Košarkaška ( KLS ) and the supranational Adriatic League ( ABA). For Radnički, who finished eighth in the ABA at the end of the season, Scott was the second best scorer with 17.6 points and best rebounder with 6.6 rebounds per game. The effectiveness rating, reaching the second place and was just a little worse than his teammate David Simon. In the national championship Scott resigned Radnički in the semifinal series of the playoffs against the eventual runner-up Red Star Belgrade. For the season 2012/13 Scott signed a contract with Belgian first runner- Spirou Charleroi from BC, but moved the end of October 2012 after three league games back to Serbia, where he became plays for Red Star. With Red Star handed it to a Serbian Cup win and the vice championship behind KK Partizan Belgrade in the KLS and the ABA. For the 2013/14 season under Scott then wrote a contract at the traditional premiership returnees Élan Béarnais from Pau in the French LNB Pro A.
