Michael Shrieve

Michael Shrieve ( born July 6, 1949 in San Francisco) is an American drummer, percussionist, producer and composer.

Life

Shrieve played at a young age in the band of Carlos Santana and took at the age of 20 years as the youngest musician at the Woodstock Festival in part. In the same documentary by Michael Wadleigh he is seen with a 11 -minute drum solo.

He turned to solo projects and worked around 1976 with guitarist Pat Thrall together. In the years 1979 to 1984 Michael Shrieve was active in the project Richard Wahnfried, behind which hid the German electronics engineer Klaus Schulze.

Shrieve collaborated with musicians of different styles and played the drums at the first solo album by Supertramp member Roger Hodgson. He also worked with Andy Summers, Steve Roach, Stomu Yamashta, David Beal, Jonas Hellborg, Douglas September, Buckethead.

Shrieve lives in Seattle and Los Angeles. He works among other things as musical director ( musical director ) of the Seattle Theatre Group More Music @ The Moore. "
